Selma Oksvold is a London-based journalism student. Her passion for journalism was ignited at 18, after moving to Shanghai by herself and learning Mandarin. Having worked on multiple documentary projects during her time at university, Selma plans to focus her future efforts on creating in-depth documentaries that explore the political climate of the UK, with hopes to expand to global affairs, particularly regarding China and the Global South.

Outside of her academic life, Selma enjoys extreme sports like skateboarding and boxing, solo traveling to unconventional destinations, writing stream-of-consciousness pieces, and music - she sings and plays harmonica and guitar.

She’s recently made her acting debut starring in five music videos for London-based band Seven Red Lions.
