DAMI ADEWUNMI
Dami Adewunmi is a Nigerian-American visual artist and model. Raised in Maryland, Dami is a self-taught painter and recently graduated with a BFA from Pratt Institute. Their art take inspiration from their experiences in life and the people that surround them, focusing on their sociopolitical stance, race, and a wide range of emotions and memories.
Currently based in Queens, Dami paints in their Home Studio in Elmont. They have a twin sister. As a model, Dami has worked with brands like Telfar and Denim Tears, shot with Nēva Wireko and Abby Bencie, walked for Women’s History Museum, and has appeared in AnOther Man and Office Magazine.
